Cauliflower Tabiro
Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis
Very resistant variety with cream-white, medium-sized flowers. The flowers are firm, very good quality, suitable for commercial production.
Cauliflower can be sown early in the spring or late in the summer and autumn. If we sow in spring, we can harvest in late spring or early summer. If we sow it in late summer or autumn, we can harvest in late autumn. The rosettes survive winter while the flowers are formed in spring. The flowers do not survive winter so we should harvest them before winter if we have sown in autumn.
We do not plant cauliflower in the late spring or over the summer because it makes flowers only if the daily temeratures are lover than 25 °C. If we are late with the sowing/planting, we plant it somewhere with a lot of shade.
If there is drought when cauliflower starts to make flowers, we must water it until we cut them, otherwise it will not form proper heads.
