Kohlrabi Azur star
Brassica oleracea var. gongylodes
The earliest red kohlrabi. It is suitable for both outdoor and indoor production. It makes slightly flat, round kohlrabies with violet skin and white and buttery meat.
Kohlrabies can be sown throughout the year but they do poorly in droughts as they ripen too fast. It is best to sow them early in the spring for harvest in spring and early summer or sowing in late summer for harvest in autumn.
