Brassica juncea
Spicy vegetable with a taste, similar to Japanese horseraddish (wasabi). Young leaves are fragile and jagged. Older leaves are harder and robust. It is very suitable for wok dishes. It is very resistant to cold, therefore it is suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation. Leaves can be cut in the ''baby leaf'' phase (after 3 weeks). In 40 - 45 days the plant reaches its final size.
Asian vegetables (brassica) is sown and cut as a salad that is cut. It can also make rosettes. The plants are resistant to cold, therefore they are sown in late summer or autumn and harvested throughout the winter. It is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses or outside.
They can be used fresh in salads or sandwiches, or they can be cooked like spinach.
